Quilting Machine Operator

Our ideal recruit will have several years experience operating highly automated industrial sewing machines, preferably with some computerized interface.  A good candidate for on-the-job training would be a commercial operator who:

  • understands the inner workings of lock-stitch sewing heads
  • is experienced in production planning
  • can assist with the flow of materials through a sewing room
  • can physically handle fabric rolls up to 75 lbs.
  • is able to reach across, under and around the equipment to perform various routine tasks
  • can spot fabric flaws or missed stitch while patrolling the run from visual distance of up to five feet

Our equipment is the Mammut P2A, high-speed, lock stitch quilting machine with 90" (2200 mm) width sewing area.

Tape Edge Machine Operator

Our ideal recruit will have several years experience operating an industrial sewing machine.  A good candidate for on-the-job training would be a commercial operator who:

  • understands the principles of chain-stitch sewing

  • can physically handle loading mattresses from the feeding line on to the sewing table, and from the sewing table to the packaging line (we found taller individuals find this easier)
